Well, if in the last post I was talking about  Learning the first language at home and at school , here I'm going to talk about learning second languages at home and at school.  So, in a book that I read, I find things that need to be concerned by second language learners, such as: - Second languages learners who are fluent in daily conversation or Basic Interpersonal Communicative Skill (BICS) not necessarily fluent in school language too or also known as Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency (CALP). Because, vocabularies needed in school are totally different with everyday vocabularies. - In order to comprehend CALP, second language learners need more time than to comprehend BICS. Home and school are two environments which influence most of children's personality and knowledge, because these two places are where the children spend most of their time. In these places, they start to develop their basic knowledge, one of which is their language. How the children speak, what kinds of vocabularies they used, and else. All are influenced by the family or teachers and school's participants because those people are who teach the children to speak at the very start. We might think that the kinds of vocabularies needed in home and school is same. But, in fact, it's not. Hello guys, see you again in this lovely day. Do you guys have rituals that y'all did with your teacher back in school? You know, I mean, it's a kind of habit that you did whether it's before entering the class, during the class, or after the class. I guess you have, don't you?  Cause you know when we're in school, especially in elementery school, we usually had habits like greeted the teacher or kissed the teachers' hands or whatever.  Well, today I'm going to talk about those habits or so-called rituals that I had back in elementary school days.  When I was in elementary school, the rituals we usually did in the morning when we're in the courtyard doing the go-ahead.
